Our services are aimed at people who has moved to Joensuu from abroad. We offer personal consulting and guidance in various questions related to smooth everyday life.

You can also get assistance with understanding the decisions and procedures of different public authorities, as well as information on Finnish society and municipal services.

We also offer Finnish language courses. In addition, we offer help with questions related to residence permits, family reunification, travel documents and citizenship. Our services are free of charge. Our services are available in Finnish and English. For other languages, we use interpreting services.

Our integration service is particularly aimed at people who have moved or are planning to move to the region for work as well as their families and international students.

We work in cooperation with other local operators and act as integration experts for city employees, partners and other service providers in the region. We offer guidance and advice in questions related to immigration and integration. We are in charge of receiving quota refugees for the City of Joensuu, and supporting their integration in their new home municipality in cooperation with local organisations and volunteers.
