Welcome to International House Joensuu!

We mostly offer customer service by appointment. Book a personal consultation appointment via e-mail to internationalhouse@joensuu.fi, by calling +358 (0)13 337 0333 or by visiting our office. We also offer remote appointments.

Our services are confidential and free of charge. Our services are available in Finnish, English and Russian. If you need an interpreter, we will arrange it free of charge.

Please note that our office does not process or accept residence permit applications. The Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) accepts, processes and decides on residence permit applications. Their nearest service points are located in Kuopio and Lappeenranta.  

Consultation without appointment

We offer consultation without appointment to various language groups.  Consultations without appointment are meant for short guidance sessions no longer than 20 minutes. Consultations without appointment are mostly meant for urgent matters. Please take a number in the lobby and wait for your turn. We serve our customers in the order of arrival.

Finnish and English-language services are available during all consultation hours. We announce any changes to our service hours on our website and on Facebook.

NOTE!  If you are visiting us for the first time, please book an appointment by e-mail internationalhouse@joensuu.fi. If you have not visited us earlier and you come to consultation without appointment, you have to register first at the service point.
